Demoscene
My Involvement in the Demoscene
I have been involved in the demo scene since I was about 12 years of age, since then I have worked on many productions or realtime demonstrations on many different computing platforms! Primarily in the demo scene I have concentrated on pixelled graphics but I also code as well. I have worked on platforms such as c64, Amiga500, Amiga1200, modern PC hardware aswell as consoles such as Playstation2, Gameboy Advance, Gameboy Colour etc. As my professional life is developing video games as a core technology programmer, I also code on many different platforms, at work it is PS3 and XBOX360 at the moment but also coding on PC, I am currently developing a demo editor/composition tool and engine backend whenever I get a break from work. Below is a few things I have worked on recently and also in the past.

Animatron by TRSI
A c64 demo I did some graphics for (released at Breakpoint 2007), thanks to Streetuff/TRSI for allowing me to contribute to this demo! The whole credits list is a bit lengthy so watch the video for the full breakdown
Cruisin by Abyss
Code: Spin/Abyss Music: Pink/Abyss Graphics, Design: Devistator/Abyss (me) Release date: December 1997 Release party: The Party 1997 in Denmark Ranking: 2nd in Amiga 40k intro compo
I will try and get a video of this intro sometime soon but for now the downloadable Commodore Amiga exe is downloadable here. The intro runs on an AGA Amiga and as far as I know no memory expansion is required. You can run the intro on a PC using an amiga emulator such as WinUAE although for some reason WinUAE really doesnt like this intro on my ATI based laptop, only consistant speed when skipping frames.. odd
I have been involved in a whole load of other demo projects but the rest are probably too shameful to show here
Demoscene Graphics
My normal role within the demoscene has been “Graphician” or “Graphics artist” and I have been making computer graphics pixel by pixel since my school years. I have used many different applications to make my computer graphics, I started out with a copy of Deluxe Paint 2 on my old Commodore Amiga 500. The subject of my first ever pixelled picture was garfield which subsequently got published in an issue of Amiga Shopper but I really cannot remember what issue! I carried on pixelling graphics and discovered the demoscene by swapping discs with friends and discovering the Grapevine discmagazine by the demogroup LSD. I joined a group and started doing graphics for scene productions mostly on the Amiga series of platforms, first non-AGA then when I got an A1200 we could use all those AGA modes available on this new computer hardware!
Below is some of my past works:
